Repair on Collapsed Channel Wall on Jalan Abdul Rahman Saleh Underway

Channel wall on Jalan Dr Abdul Rahman Saleh, RW 05, Senen Urban Village, which collapsed since Thursday (1/30) is being repaired by Senen Sub-district Water Resources (SDA) Task Force. The work is targeted to be completed by the end of February.

Senen Sub-district SDA Task Force Head, Zulfahmi Baco explained that the repair was carried out to prevent the damage from spreading, which could trigger a collapse of the road around the channel.

For information, this channel has a width around 80 centimeters and a height of 100 centimeters. While the damage part stretched around 38 meters.
"Everyday, we deploy 10 personnel to repair it," he added.
Technically, he conveyed, personnel dismantled and reshaped the structure first, then rebuilt the channel wall using river stone material.
"So far the progress has touched around 26 percent. The work is targeted to be completed by the end of February," he stated.
Rudi, a resident of RW 05 Senen Urban Village, appreciated SDA Sub-agency for repairing the channel and hoped the work could be completed quickly.
"Hopefully, the work can be finished soon and the channel can be functioned optimally again," he expressed.
